With ZaraStudio, you don’t need to convert your audio files to specific formats, as it supports the most widely used ones: MP2, MP3 (CBR and VBR), WAV, OGG, WMA, FLAC, and AAC+. Additionally, there are no restrictions regarding sampling frequency or bitrate.

ZaraStudio can handle up to 6 sound cards simultaneously: one for on-air playback, four for auxiliary players, and one for prelistening.

ZaraStudio lets you overlap the last seconds of one audio file with the beginning of the next while fading out the former. Crossfade parameters can be configured globally or individually for each file. If the user doesn’t set these times manually, ZaraStudio will attempt to detect them automatically by analyzing the audio level.

ZaraStudio can control the Windows audio mixer and play audio from an external source, allowing you to automate connections and disconnections in radio networks.

ZaraStudio allows you to generate reports of the audio tracks played by the system, so you can track the exact date and time a specific audio was broadcast. It also logs any errors that may occur, helping you identify and fix issues.

One of ZaraStudio’s most powerful features is ‘random tracks’ —a system that selects audio files randomly from user-specified folders—, allowing you to create randomized music programming based on musical genres. It works with or without a database. Using a database enables advanced controls to avoid repeating songs or artists.

ZaraStudio can broadcast presentations or ids over songs automatically, leaving the music in the background with a slight fade.

For stations without an audio processor, ZaraStudio provides an Automatic Gain Control DSP that automatically levels the volume of songs. It allows you to control up to 5 processing parameters.

ZaraStudio lets you manage up to 5 players or playlists simultaneously, with the option to route audio to the same or different sound cards. The main playlist is used for unattended broadcasting, while the other four are intended for production or live work.

ZaraStudio allows you to play up to 20 audio files with a single mouse click using an equal number of on-screen buttons, emulating classic cart machines. Additionally, it can store up to 10 preconfigured button pages, enabling you to play up to 200 audio clips.

ZaraStudio lets you search for audio files on your hard drive or in the database and add them to players via drag and drop. It also offers the ability to preview these audio files.

Playlists are saved as standard Windows files. Some supported formats, like M3U, are widely recognized by Winamp and Windows Media Player. You can also drag audio files directly from Windows Explorer into playlists.
